My 6th picture is my eldest grandchild Anni . She is going to be 20 on April . - I have two more grandchildren Emmi and Jussi . I'm like every gandmother , love them so much . I miss them every day . They live so far , we don't see wery often .

Years back , when they were little and lived near , they used to come here for hole weekends. OoOooh !! - Use your magination !! I was younger then !!

Nowadays they are good young people and I'm wery proud of them .

Jeti and his girlfriend were so in love last summer that they regularized theyr relationchip .

Now they have five kittens .

There is big question ? Jeti had an operation earlier

and the girlfriend was on the pills !!

Here are six things about me .

1)I'm 69 year old pensioner from Finland . I retired five years ago from Finlands Posti . Me and my husband were farmers 1972-1989 . Before that we lived in Canada and Sweden . Now we are living in our farm .

2) We are been marryed 50 years , and are still happy . Actually I must say , we are happier than ever . We have two daughters ,48 and 30 . And three grand children , 20,18 and 15 years .

3) I think I'm good person , believe in God , happy , I have some tallent to drawing , painting , writing . My friends use to say , " she das everythin she wants ". ( maybe I'm selfish too ).

4) I have firm trust of things going beter in the world near future .

5) I started blogging on september . Before that I didn't know enything about it . And look , now I'm TAGGET .

6)I'm writing a book of my chilhood on my other blog .

Something blue

My daughter wanted blue painting and I did this quick sketch . She was very satisfied . She told me , she and her friends saw more than that women in there .

Dear childhood home

My childhood home looked like this in 1940-1957 . I draw this picture 1976 as I remembered it , and used bird's - eye - view to show all the buildings .

The missing sun is there

No changes . The missing sun appeared for a moment and that's that . Old peoples used to call these days " pirtti ilmat " , stey home days .

Winter wonderland

My husband played the road to back part of our farmland .

This I call winter vacation . Piles of snow on top of the machine and collected woods .

Grey day again . I went for a walk to the woods to feel the lonelynes and hear the silence .

Another cold day . The sun appeared few moments . Winter lasts usually to Easter . It's only January , and I'm olready asking , how long still . -Be patient , the time fly .

Cold morning -25 Celsius , -13 Fahrenheit . No widnd , so it dasn't feel very bad . The Sun is peeping behind the woods .

Ooh , here is our dear summerhouse . Go in , have a seat .... feel homelike .....

Sauna is waiting for you , hot and cozy . Toss some water to the rocs on top of the fireplace , ( kiuas ) warm steam starts fondling your skin . You feel going out to space .... Ordinary life is so far away .... Feel free , fresh , tired , strong ....

Sauna odottaa Sinua , kuumana ja mukavana . Heitä vettä kiukaalle , lämmin höyry alkaa hyväillä ihoasi . Tunnet liitäväsi avaruuteen ... Arkielämä on niin kaukana ... Tunne olevasi vapaa , raikkas , väsynyt , vahva .....

After that you go to swim in the lake , come back , have some cool drink . Sit down on the veranda ... Do everything again and again . Get tired .....

Tämän jälkeen mene uimaan järveen , tule takaisin , nauti kylmää juotavaa . Istu kuistille . Tee kaikki tämä uudelleen ja uudelleen . Tunne väsymystä ...

Follow the narrow path to the shed , under the blooming rowan .

Seuraa kapeaa polkua aittaan , kukkivan pihlajan alla .

Go to sleep between cool sheets ..... dream ....

Mene nukkumaan viileiden lakanoiden väliin .... uneksi ....

My New Year Speach

I was young in 1950s and never ever dreamed I'll live in 2009 nor I'll be able to think enything .

When we are young we think everybody over 30 is old and die soon .

Now I'm living full life and every day brings different goods to me .

World is different now , everything is changed everywhere , feels like evil take hold of everything . How this happened , how we let it happen ?

I believe WE SURVIVE . We'll learn to live in this defferent " melting pot " .

In 1960s there was a time we thought we muts be free . We got too free . There must have some rules . Everything is in our own hands . If there is enough good people and they keep doing good things we can save a lot . My husband use to say : " If you are down , the only thing to do is , GET UP .

Here in Finland we are still in good hands , but who knows . Our economy is in good balans and we are not invalved eny war . I was born in 1940 and it was second world war time . Whole country was in the midle of the war . But we survived .
